Gibson Up For Machete 2 Role

Troubled star Mel Gibson has reportedly entered serious talks for a supporting role in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills" says Deadline.


In the sequel to the 2009 action flick "Machete", the next film in a planned trilogy, finds Machete (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. Government to battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who have hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space.

Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez are reprising their respective roles as Sartana and Luz from the first film.

Kyle Ward wrote the script.
