Duhamel May Find Safe Haven

Josh Duhamel is in talks to star in the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparksbook "Safe Haven" according to Variety.


The story follows a young North Carolina woman determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships. As she begins to fall in love, she struggles with a dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her.

Duhamel would play a widowed store owner and father of two.

Lasse Hallstrom directs from an adapted script by Dana Stevens.

Sparks, Ryan Kavanaugh, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen will produce the film

A February 8th 2013 release date is set.
