Radcliffe Keen On Pinocchio Part

Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly expressed to filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro and "Fantastic Mr. Fox" animation director Mark Gustafson his notion "to get involved in" their 3-D stop-motion animated version of Pinocchio says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Matthew Robbins penned screenplay sees author Carlo Collodi's famous puppet going on a series of adventures and proving himself to be as indestructible as the love he has for his father. The story will be set in Italy between World War I and World War II , a time "when everyone was behaving like a puppet, except for puppets" says Del Toro.

Tom Waits is also on the wish list to be heard as one of the voice cast

del Toro was originally only due to produce the film but has come around to co-directing due to the project's scale and complexity.

A year-long shoot aims to kick off next Summer for a bow in 2014
