Universal Pictures is in negotiations to acquire the screen rights to a 2010 line of robotic toy sets from LEGO called "Hero Factory", says Heat Vision.
Unlike other lego toys though, the 'Hero' line includes a built in mythology with various characters "hailing from a planet where a factory churns out robotic machines whose goal is to fight intergalactic evil".
"Predators" writers Michael Finch and Alex Litvak are talking to pen the script which would be a live-action adaptation and distinct from the as yet Untitled Lego Project that will be a CGI-animated film from Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs") at Warner Bros
Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff, Ben Forkner and Dean Schnider will produce Factory
