Greer Feels Bad For "Carrie"

Judy Greer is lined up to play Miss Collins in the in the upcoming remake of Carrie says Bloody Disgusting.

Based on author Stephen King's book--the 1976 film directed by Brian De Palma is a horror classic about a timid and tortured girl (Sissy Spacek) who uses her telekinetic powers to punish her tormentors

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a playwright who was brought in to rework the troubled Broadway production Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark, is writing the new script which is said to be both more faithful and more realistic than the previous 1976 version. Kimberly Peirce ("Boys Don't Cry") will call action.

Julianne Moore nabbed the role of Carrie's (Chloe Moretz) abusive, fundamentalist Christian mother, Margaret White, played in the original De Palma film by Oscar nominee Piper Laurie.

Meantime The Three Musketeers Gabriella Wilde has indeed won the role of Carrie's school ally Sue Snell.

Both Collins and Snell are 2 of the tale's nicer characters- the former a student who feels guilty about a previous humiliation of Carrie and tries to mend ways, the latter a gym teacher concerned about Carrie's welfare.

Production on the remake starts soon to meet a March 15th, 2013 release date
