Wallace Takes Over The Conscientious Objector
"Braveheart" writer Randall Wallace will now direct “The Conscientious Objector” says The Wrap..
The pic will tell the story of Desmond Doss, the first conscientious objector in American history to win the Congressional Medal of Honor in World War II who refused to kill or even carry a gun and ended up saving the lives of seventy-five men at the Battle of Okinawa.
Robert Schenkkan wrote the script.
Wallace has directed “The Man in the Iron Mask” and “We Were Soldiers” and he is set replace Aaron Schneider who had been attached to direct.
Terry Benedict, Bill Mechanic and David Permut are producing.
