Jason Bateman, Zac Efron, Goldie Hawn, and Leslie Mann are in talks to star in the ensemble comedy of This Is Where I Leave You says Deadline New York.
Based on Jonathan Tropper's novel, the story centers on a father who dies and requests that his highly dysfunctional and non-religious family sit Shiva for seven days.
Tropper has written the adapted script from which Adam Shankman is set to direct.
Hawn would be playing the the family matriarch while the other three actors are poised to be playing siblings.
Jennifer Gibgot, Paula Weinstein Shankman and Jeff Levine are producing the film.
Zac and Leslie played husband and wife of sorts in the body switchero comedy 17 Again--while this would mark Hawn's first pic in a decade (??!) since 2002′s The Banger Sisters, and it would be great to get her back on the big screen
