Crowe & Roth Team For Dracula Pic Harker?

Eli Roth is in talks to helm a re-imagining of Bram Stoker's classic novel "Dracula" called Harker at Warner Bros reports Deadline.


In this version, written by Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, Russell Crowe may play Dracula who is tracked by now Scotland Yard detective Jonathan Harker. Crowe would serve as the villain for this film, but the as yet uncast Harker is being planned as a potential franchise character.

Jaume Collet-Serra was previously attached to direct but other commitments prevent him from doing the film.  Now the studio wants Roth and have been fast tracking the project to shoot by next year when Crowe has a window of time open having just wrapped Tom Hooper's adaptation of "Les Misérables" and then moing on to Darren Aronofsky's epic "Noah

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce Harker
