The original film , directed by Edward Zwick, starred Demi Moore and Rob Lowe. It was based on David Mamet's play “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” and tracked the up-and-down relationship of a couple through their first year together.
Ealy would play the male lead, Hall will play the female lead's best friend. Said female lead has yet to be cast.
Comedian Kevin Hart will play the role that Jim Belushi had in the earlier film.
Leslye Headland (writer-director of the upcoming “Bachelorette”) is penning the new adapted script.
