The film is set in an alternate reality where homosexuality is the norm. Belle will play a star quarterback whose blossoming romance with a journalist (Lutz) leads to the couple being bullied.
Kim Rocco Shields will direct from a script she co wrote with David Tillman and is taken from the short film of the same name.
Shields and Rachel Diana will produce the pic.
