The script by Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton follows a French nihilist (Brand), who has plans to steal the Mona Lisa painting and transport it from Paris to London. Along the way, he runs into a French investigator, a murderer named Pigeonshit and his brothel-running mother.
Jason Reitman was originally set to direct with Jim Carrey set to star but was replaced by The Dictator and Borat director Larry Charles.
Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal Steve Tisch and Brian Sher wil produce the film.
