Taylor Kitsch and Brendan Gleeson are set to star in Don McKellar's remake of the 2003 French-Canadian film "The Grand Seduction" says Variety.
The story centers on a small harbor town that needs a doctor so that it can land a contract to secure a factory. Gleeson plays a village resident who employs tactics to seduce the doctor to stay permanently.
Gordon Pinsent, Mary Walsh, Cathy Jones and Liane Balaban also star.
Michael Dowse and Ken Scott, who wrote the original French film, wrote this version as well.
Roger Frappier and Barbara Doran are producing the picture.
Productin is underway in St John's, Newfoundland.
