DA Finds His Cain & Abel For "Noah"

Icelandic actors Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson and Arnar Dan are set to join Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic "Noah" says Iceland Review (via ThePlaylist).

An adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah's Ark, Russell Crowe stars as the man who must build an Ark to save all of creation from a coming flood.

The actors will play Cain & Abel, the sons of Adam & Eve --it's unknown how the brothers will feature in the story, but it's almost certainlygoing to be in some kind of flashbacks as most of the action takes place well after the infamous fratricide.

Saoirse Ronan, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Durand and Emma Watson also star.

Aronofsky & Ari Handel, wrote the original script for "Noah," but they evenually handed re-writing duties to John Logan (The Last Samurai, Gladiator).

Aronofsky, Mary Parent and Scott Franklin are producing the pic.

The film begins shooting this Summer in New York and Iceland to meet its March 28th 2014 U.S. release date.
