Winslow's "Fire And Life" Gets Adapted

A film adaptation of author Don Winslow's 2007 thriller "California Fire and Life" is on the way says Deadline.

The story follows Jack Wade, a once rising star cop who fell from grace in a scandal and now makes his living as an arson investigator who never gets 'involved' in cases. When he sees the charred corpse of a young woman being written off as an accident, he becomes obsessed with hunting down the killer.

The search is on for writers and a director.

Shane Salerno will produce the film. He worked on the recent adaptation of Winslow's Savages
