Nichols Plays With Fusion; Reese Goes To Bootcamp

Writer/director Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud) is in talks to develop "The Boy Who Played With Fusion" as a directing vehicle for himself says Deadline.

Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will produce the true life tale.

Chernin acquired the film rights to an article back in the March issue of Popular Science magazine about Taylor Wilson a 14-year old Arkansan who became the youngest ever to achieve nuclear fusion.

Meantime  Deadline also reports that a film adaation of M.A. Larson novel "Pennyroyal's Princess Boot Camp" is in the works.

Reese Witherspoon will produce and play a supporting role.

Larson will write the adapted script that follows an orphaned girl who travels to the Pennyroyal Boot Camp where she and her friends train to become warrior princesses in order to defeat an ever-growing threat of wicked witches.
