Though he signed a two-picture deal to appear in Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" and The Avengers 3" actor Robert Downey Jr. has
previously indicated a reluctance to return in Iron Man 4. That was then--In a recent interview with EW on the set of 'Ultron', Downey is now optimistic that it could happen.
In an industr textbook example of "negotiating through the
press," RDJ says: "It's down to Kevin Feige and Ike Perlmutter and
Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to
agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of
agreement."
The magazine points out that each Marvel sequel has outgrossed its
predecessor and Downey knows it:
"Right now, this has just been swell,
hasn’t it? This ['Ultron'] has been a really good one and it feels good
and we’re having a good time.”
Downey seems happy to keep the suit on for now, "It's that thing of:
why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?" but
warns "most people are saying that right when they get knocked out"
indicating that he could walk if Disney & Marvel don't pay up.
