Quartet Added To Spielberg's Cold War Movie

Amy Ryan, Eve Hewson, Alan Alda and Billy Magnussen are set to join an as yet Untitled Cold War set project that Steven Spielberg is tipped to direct says The Wrap

Matt Charman wrote the true story inspired pitch that follows James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks) an attorney who negotiated the release of downed U-2 spy plane pilot Gary Powers after an incident in 1960. Joel and Ethan Coen penned the latest draft of the script.

Ryan will play Donovan's wife, but no details were given for either Alda, Magnussen or Hewson's characters. Stage actor Mark Rylance also stars in the film.

Marc Platt and Kristie Macosko Krieger will produce with Spielberg. Adam Somner and Daniel Lupi will exec produce.

Shooting is scheduled to begin this September, on location in New York and Berlin to meet its Oct. 16, 2015 release date.

This will be Spielberg's fourth collaboration with Hanks, following Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can and The Terminal. They also served as executive producers on HBO's World War II mini-series' Band of Brothers.

The project joins the ever growing list of films that Spielberg has in the pipeline--including the religious drama "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara".
