Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) helmed the first film, and confirmed that the sequel will follow Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson as they embark on their Where We Are World Tour.
The previous film covered the group's hometown beginnings and combined it with concert footage from their O2 Arena concert.
Spurlock is once again producing with Simon Cowell, who discovered the band on his X Factor U.K. reality competition in 2010. Also producing are Ben Winston (One Direction: A Year In The Making) and Adam Milano.
1D fans will only be catch the film in theaters for two days on Oct. 11 and 12. Tickets go on sale July 28th.
