As Comic-Con is about to kick off Sony Pictures has altered it's cinematic plans for Spider-Man says Heat Vision.
The studio has shuffled the dates for both "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" and "The Sinister Six" a film film series spin-off movie.
"The Sinister Six" is now set to debut on November 11th 2016. The studio is said to be keen on Drew Goddard's vision which
remains only as a "rough script at this point". Goddard is set to write
and direct the project.
"Amazing 3" was originally slated to bow on June 10th 2016 and The Amazing Spider-Man 4 was set to bow on May 4th 2018.
Instead, "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" will now take over #4's old spot in May 2018 - a huge delay by two years.
Though The Amazing Spider-Man 2 made an impressive $700 million at the global box-office that's well below its box office goal and mediocre reviews (my review) are behind the delay.
.
Sony hasn't left that June 10th 2016 release spot empty though,
instead they're moving their proposed live-action, big-budget video game series film adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune into the slot.
