Hairy Situation

TV star Zachary Levi Mandy Moore will lend their voices to Disney's Digital 3D-animated pic "Rapunzel" reports Heat Vision Blog.

The film puts a new spin on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale with the princess, famous for her 70 feet of golden hair, after she's been stolen from her parents' castle as an infant and imprisoned.

Now a teenager, Rapunzel (Moore) escapes and goes on the run with a bandit (Levi) as her captor pursues them.

Nathan Greno and Byron Howard will direct the film from Dean Wellins' script.

The Mouse House had been trying to make a “Rapunzel” movie for years-giving up-until John Lasseter became the head of animation, and decided to start over from scratch.

Alan Menken will compose the film's music.

I know Moore sings when not acting but can Levi? (snicker...)

The film is due next year.
