"The West Wing" creator creator Aaron Sorkin, has won the film rights to Andrew Young's tell all book"The Politician" says The Hollywood Reporter.

Young was one of the most trusted confidants of former presidential candidate John Edwards and during the 2008 primary, Edwards began making unethical demands of Young relating to the candidate's mistress Rielle Hunter and her child with him.

"This is a first-hand account of an extraordinary story filled with motivations, decisions and consequences that would have lit Shakespeare up," said Sorkin

He will make his feature directorial debut on the film which he will also write and produce.

Sorkin is ideal for this -since he clearly likes taking on politics--Should be interesting to see where this one goes
