Stephen Bishop has joined the cast of sports drama "Moneyball" says Reuters.
Based on the Michael Lewis nonfiction bestseller, the story follows Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) who assembled a contending baseball club on a shoestring budget by employing a sophisticated computer-based analysis to draft players.
Bishop will play baseball slugger David Justice a longtime member of the Atlanta Braves who played his final pro season for the team in 2002 - the year they made the playoffs.
Robin Wright Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman co-star
Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin wrote the script based on an earlier draft by Stan Chervin. Director Bennett Miller will call the shots here.
Shooting kicks off in two weeks in Los Angeles.
