Bats Cats And Lois

Putting in an appearance at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival helmer Christopher Nolan talks the current status of  The Dark Knight Rises

"We've worked on it a long time - David Goyer and myself. We're about 12 weeks away from shooting. We start in May"  He added that the main draw of doing this third film was about "finishing the story."

The news that  Anne Hathaway's gonna play Selina Kyle made no mention of  her alter ego Catwoman. Nolan didn't confirm whether we'll see Catwoman in the film,

Now cinematographer Wally Pfister told Bleeding Cool that Oscar co-host Hathaway has done a full costume test.

"Yeah.. She's phenomenal. This is something she wanted and wanted to show Chris, 'I'm the one for this job' and she did an incredible job...and she looked phenomenal in the wardrobe [hint, hint]. It's going to be amazing with her."

Pushed however to explain if that costume test was for Catwoman rather Kyle, he said "I'll get fired and I won't even get to shoot the picture! … I can't really, but I definitely want to be around next year."

Meanwhile--Now that Henry Cavill is locked for the lead in  Superman: Man of Steel attention has turned to finding Lois Lane for his Clark Kent.

The casting of Lois is expected to be announced within the next week or two and will be highly contingent upon the actress fitting the window for filming the studio has scheduled.

What's Playing says they've heard seven names on the list. Two of which, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kristen Bell  are said to be long shots, while the other five actresses were asked to read for the part

Those five include:: Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Rachel McAdams, Dianna Agron and Malin Akerman

Stewart may be out because she has a full plate I hope that's the case...She would make a poor choice. As for Biel and McAdams, they are said to be the leading contenders

My personal pick from the list for Lois would be McAdams for the right amount Spunktitude that's needed Stay Tuned
