Keep Your Gaurd Up

Ugh! Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer are being tapped to write the script for a remake of the 1992 film "The Bodyguard" says The Hollywood Reporter.
Kevin Costner  and Whitney Houston  starred in the original story of a former Secret Service agent hired to protect a world famous pop singer. Uncomfortable in her glitzy world, the man eventually falls for her which compromises his ability to protect her.

The film is as well known for Houston's most famous power ballad of Dolly Parton's hit song "I Will Always Love You" as anything else

Lawrence Kasdan ("Raiders of the Lost Ark," "The Big Chill") penned the original screenplay years before the film went into production, in fact it was meant as a vehicle for Steve McQueen and Diana Ross.

The new version will feature the male lead as a former Iraq War vet.

Dan Lin will produce
