Inspired by a true story, Segel would play a former cop that infiltrated the New Jersey criminal underworld during the era.
Jason A. Micallef (Butter) will write the screenplay. Steven Zaillian will produce the pic. Garrett Basch, who brought the concept to the studio suits, will serve as executive producer.
