What A Backward Planet This Must Be

Yesterday came news that the character of Lois Lane would NOT show up in Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel, and that Alice EveDiane Kruger and Rosamund Pike are in contention to play an undisclosed female character Latino Review says they know the character's name

According to a source, the trio are up for the role of a Kryptonian villain Ursa

The character is best known as portrayed by British actress Sarah Douglas in her memorable turn as General Zod (Terence Stamp)'s right hand woman in Superman II .

Four months ago Snyder denied reports that Zod was the film's bad guy appearing in the film.

You CAN"T have Ursa without Zod can you!!??

And oh by the way LR says Lois Lane will be in the film after all...Jeebus! Here we go with the one day it's true the next day it's not stuff...

The new pic's screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Christopher Nolan

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Nolan and Deborah Snyder will produce the reboot

Production will start this summer with a December 2012 release date.
