Back To Rescue Jack

Steven Zaillian who most recently scripted David Fincher's American adaptation of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” is in talks to rewrite the script for the Jack Ryan reboot according to THR

Chris Pine will star as the budding intelligence analyst from the Tom Clancy-created novel series and the four previous film adaptations.

Previously called Moscow, it now seems the reboot is gonna be going by the title "Jack Ryan" for now anyway. Back in September Anthony Peckham (Invictus) was hired to re-write the flick

Jack Bender is directing the film.

This isn't Zaillian's first experience writing Jack Ryan world. He wrote the 1994's Clear and Present Danger, which starred Harrison Ford.

Shooting was to kick off in Budapest in March, then got pushed back to later in the Spring. Now with re-writes, the start date has been pushed back again - potentially up to a month.

Paramount suits can't afford any further delays though with Pine committed to their Star Trek Sequel
