Singer's Killer Cure

Bryan Singer told 24 Frames that he decided to do Jack the Giant Killer.as the cure to obsessive accuracy over his last film "Valkyrie".

With that movie, I was so obsessed with the accuracy and the history and the detail, and this film is a fantastical time in England. It’s not pegged to a particular time in history, and it deals with fun and broad characters”.

This re-telling of the Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale follows a farm boy (Nicholas Hoult) who unwittingly breaks a long-standing peace between the humans and giants when he goes after a princess who the giants kidnapped.

Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor also star

Singer adds- “It’s the first time in one of my films that there’s a romance that’s not fraught with a love triangle. The simpleness of this romance is my cure for all the love triangles that permeated the ‘X-Men'."

Jack the Giant Killer is in production now and will be released worldwide in the summer of 2012.
