Sparks Fly



Warner Bros. has acquired Nicholas Sparks' next novel "The Best of Me" says Deadline.

The story follows small-town high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks who are now adults that have broken up and taken different paths. Neither has forgotten that first love affair, and they meet again when they return to their hometown for a funeral confronting the past and a possible future.

"A Walk to Remember," "Message in a Bottle," "The Last Song," "The Notebook" and "Nights in Rodanthe" have all been adapted for the silver screen . While "The Lucky One" comes out later this year, with True Believer" and "Safe Haven"in development.

Denise Dinovi and Kevin McCormick will produce the film with Sparks. 

Gee I wonder how this one ends?

"Me" will be published in October.
