Schwentke Works In The Poison Kitchen After RIPD

Robert Schwentke is attached to direct the film "The Poison Kitchen" reports Variety.

The story traces the true story of the Münchener Post, the Munich newspaper which waged a propaganda war for more than a decade against the burgeoning Nazi Party. Adolf Hitler gained power in 1933, Nazi stormtroopers raided the paper, destroyed the offices and presses, and imprisoned the editorial staff.

Matthew Sand ("Ninja Assassin") wrote the script

The tone of the pic will be that of a thriller rather than a historical-political drama.

Schwentke will work on the film once he wraps work on the supernatural comedy "R.I.P.D.".
