Hudgens Finds Frozen Ground

Vanessa Hudgens has joined the thriller "The Frozen Ground" reports Deadline.

The story centers on the investigation of Robert Hansen (John Cusack), a respected family man who systematically abducted some two dozen women and flew them into the Alaskan wilderness where he released and then hunted them. Nicolas Cage plays the Alaska State Trooper who cracked the case after finding one of Hansen's victims alive on the street. Hansen was arrested in 1983 and is currently serving a 461 year sentence in prison.

Hudgens will play the one teenage victim who escaped but no-one believed her story.

Relative newbie Scott Walker will make his feature directorial debut from his own screenplay.

Randall Emmett, George Furla, Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming are producing the picture

Shooting begins October 17th in Anchorage, Alaska.
