Chris Tucker is talks to join the cast of  "The Silver Linings Playbook" and "Neighborhood Watch," according to both THR and Variety.

The story follows a delusional former high school history teacher (Bradley Cooper) who's just been released into the custody of his mom. Believing that he’s only been away for a few months instead of the four years he just spent in a mental institution, the teacher sets about wooing back his ex-wife. but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbor (Jennifer Lawrence) with problems of her own.

Tucker would be playing the role of Danny, Cooper's former fellow patient at the mental hospital who escapes on several occasions to visit his troubled friend.

Cooper's Limitless co-star Robert De Niro is also stars the film as Cooper's father

David O. Russell's calling action for a proposed Fall start.

Meanwhile  the sci-fi comedy "Watch" sees Vince Vaughn and his "Dodgeball" co-star Ben Stiller play suburban dads who use the guise of a neighborhood watch group for some male-bonding time away from their families. They soon accidentally uncover a plot to destroy the world.

In that pic Tucker would be playing the role of Jamarcus, a recent divorcee.

Jonah Hill will play Vaughn’s sidekick, one who constantly embellishes his past to include a rough and dark side. Actress Rosemarie DeWitt will play the wife of Ben Stiller's character

Akiva Schaffer is directing the project from a script by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Production is scheduled to start in Georgia sometime this fall.

It's hard to think that Tucker is consdering one film--let alone two--none of which are part of the Rush Hour film series at that...
