Bale & Cage For Tesla Biopic

Christian Bale is in talks to play Nikola Tesla and Nicolas Cage is hoped to play Thomas Edison in the period dramatic biopic called "Tesla, Ruler of the World" says Bleeding Cool.

In the 19th century, Tesla was a champion of AC (alternating current) electricity and was a contemporary and major competitor of Thomas Edison who was championing DC (direct current). The story is said to feature some modern day elements relating to a "technological crisis."

Mike Newell ("Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time") has been offered the big chair. This would be Bale's second flick dealing with Tesla, he starred in Chris Nolan's "The Prestige" which saw David Bowie as the scientist.
