Start It Up

Spike Lee will produce a big screen adaptation of Brendan I. Koerner's non0fiction book "Now the Hell Will Start" reports Variety.

Koerner work tracks the story of World War II Private Herman Perry, a black soldier from Washington.

After shooting another soldier, Perry went on the run in the Indo-Burmese jungle and eventually became assimilated into tribal culture.

Lee's production company is also working on a Michael Jordan docu and developing a James Brown biopic.
