Do we really need a remake of Paul Verhoeven's great sci-fi flick Total Recall?The Hollywood Reporter says producer Neal H. Moritz will develop and produce the new version of the story based on author Philip K. Dick 's tale We Can Remember It for You Wholesale
The story follows a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. The man comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, where he fights to overthrow a despotic ruler controlling the production of air.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone starred in the original...And the film will be a hard act to follow....
A TV series revival died a pretty quick death.
