Mal-Content

John Malkovich has snagged the role of the villian in Jonah Hex says Variety.

A live action adaptation of the comic, Malkovich will play Turnbull, a wealthy Southern plantation owner whose son is killed by Union soldiers during the American Civil War

He blames Hex (Josh Brolin), a former confederate soldier-turned-hardened bounty hunter and gunslinger.

Jimmy Hayward is calling action on the script by "Crank" scribes Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.

Malkovich has played both good and bad guys throughout his career--but there's something extra special happening when he plays bad...See him in the under appreciated In the Line of Fire for example.

Filming in Hex kicks off in April.
