With the release of Watchmen now just a mere 4 weeks+away--publicity is now moving into high gear.
Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons has the latest breakdown:
First up there's some impressive new photos including a still of Rorschach at EW, a shot of Doctor Manhattan's Vietnam days at Superhero Hype, six black-and-white portrait photos of the main characters at Empire Online, and some gorgeous behind-the-scenes photos from the "Watchmen: The Official Film Companion:" book over at Total Film.
Coming Attractions received word from someone who browsed The Official Film Companion and confirmed that original illustrator Dave Gibbons drew up a new graphic novel ending that fits more with the film's much debated new scripted ending. Thus the filmmakers used those new illustrations as the basis of what to film.
Warners has officially announced that the animated short film/companion piece "Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 24th.
The disc will also include Hollis Mason’s tell-all live-action expose "Under The Hood", two featurettes, a deleted scene from the "Watchmen" film,..
Finally there's an extensive interview with the film's set photographer at WCM along with some movie prop photos.
