On the subject of casting rumors...

Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons sorts out 2 casting dregs on the Nightmare on Elm Street remake:

...both have quickly been shot down.

First up Just Jared reported that Lindsay Lohan was cast and included quotes from Dunes co-partner Andrew Form.

Now, producer Brad Fuller has gone on the record at HitFix saying the story isn't true at all and "Andrew Form did not comment on the story, and those quotes are not his."

Not much later a Latino Review report emerged indicated that... actor Jackie Earle Haley was the front runner to play Freddy Krueger.

Pretty out there yes but not quite as out there as this idea

Fuller quickly denied that report over at STYD saying "We have not chosen a Freddy Krueger we're not even negotiating with anyone yet."
