Nick Pustay will adapt Maggie Stiefvater's supernatural romance novel Shiver into a screenplay says Variety. The story centers on a bittersweet paranormal romance between a teen who becomes a wolf each winter and his girlfriend, who helps him find the secret to staying human.
Michael Lynne and Bob Shaye will produce the the film adaptation of Shiver.
The first installment of a planned trlogy was published last August and has been on the bestseller lists for 31 weeks. It's sequel Linger will be published this August.
"At the core is this heartbreaking love story, between two people who know that their time together is slipping away," Pustay said
No production date was announced.
No doubt wanting to capture Twilight style success.
