Just one day after landing a new studio deal--best buds Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will team up again on screen says Deadline Hollywood.The film written by Dave Mandel is called The Trade will tell the true story of two New York Yankees pitchers who caused a national scandal by swapping wives back in the sexually-liberated 1970s.
The Good Will Hunting duo have long had an interest in the pic
Baseball teammates Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich stunned the country when they disclosed in spring training 1973 that they were trading wives. Peterson had fallen in love with Susanne Kekich and his teammate fell in love with Marilyn.
Fritz and Susanne remain a couple till this day, while Mike and Marilyn drifted apart.
Life rights to the story are still pending.
Ben will reportedly direct and star as Fritz,while Matt would be playing Mike.
Sounds like a good project for Ben and Matt to work on together.
