The film, centers on foulmouthed, gold-digging middle-school teacher Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) who, after getting dumped by her boyfriend, competes with colleague Amy Squirrel (Lucy Punch) for the affections of the school’s model teacher.
Segel will take on the role of the school's gym teacher; Higgins plays the school’s principal, “Wally Snur" (love that name!).
The model teacher has yet to be cast
Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky wrote the script.
Filming--with Kasdan calling action-- is set to begin in Los Angeles next month.
