Water Main Break

Christoph Waltz is in line to join the cast of is in talks to join the Depression-era romantic triangle drama "Water For Elephants, says Deadline Hollywood.

The film follows a student studying veterinary medicine (Robert Pattinson) and joins a low-rent travelling circus. There he falls for the show's top performer (Reese Witherspoon).

Waltz plays the circus' animal trainer and the abusive, paranoid schizophrenic husband of Witherspoon's character.

Given Waltz' high marks as the ruthless villain from "Inglourious Basterds" he makes a good replacement choice.

"I Am Legend" helmer Francis Lawrence will direct from the adapted screenplay by Richard LaGravenese based upon author Sara Gruen's novel of the same name.
