The Heat Vision Blog reports that Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance--the sequel to the comic book flick Ghost Rider is heating up.
Crank duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are circling the big chair to direct with a script by David S. Goyer, Scott Gimple and Seth Hoffman in hand.
Star Nicolas Cage is revving up to reprise the role of hero Johnny Blaze who makes a deal with the devil and becomes a flame-skulled vigilante astride a supernatural motorcycle.
It was thought the sequel might go ahead without him due to his possible commitment to other projects.
Filming is set to start in the autumn and Cage will apparently be available after he's done with the thriller Trespass opposite Nicole Kidman says Variety,
Directed by Joel Schumacher off a script by Karl Gajdusek and Eli Richbourg, the pic follows a husband and wife taken hostage by four brutal perpetrators seeking easy cash. Complications ocurr amid the discovery of betrayal and deception.
The film begins shooting in August.
