The story follows conservative lawyer Diane (Catherine Keener) who, after her husband leaves her, takes her kids to the home of her estranged, hippie mother (Jane Fonda) in Woodstock.
What started out as a much needed break quickly becomes a reminder of why Diane escaped her mother's hippie lifestyle in the first place.
Crawford plays a war-protesting butcher who catches the eye of Diane's politically active and intellectual daughter.
Bruce Beresford directs from a script by Christina Mengert and Joseph Muszynski.
It's about time Crawford play a part outside of his rich city kid persona
Filming kicks off this July in New York's Hudson River Valley.
