Rising actress Jessica Chastain (The Fields "Coriolanus") has joined the cast of "The Help says The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on Kathryn Stockett's book the story explores the complicated relationships between the upper class matriarchs and their servants in the American South of the early 1960's.
Chastain will play Celia Foote, an insecure Southern lady constantly trying to fit in with the high society women who reject her
Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Chris Lowell, Octavia Spencer, Bryce Dallas Howard also star.Tate Taylor directs from his adapted script.
Taylor, Brunson Green, Michael Barnathan, Chris Columbus and Mark Radcliffe are going to produce
Filming kicks off next month in Greenwood, Mississippi.
