Deadline reports that many of the actors on the shortlist to play Peter Parker in the Spider-Man Reboot have shot screen tests. The decision about who is playing the wall crawler should come very soon.
The final list includes Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell, Star Trek's Anton Yelchin, Aaron Johnson, Andrew Garfield (The Social Network), Logan Lerman and Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro).
Frank Dillane and Michael Angarano are also still on the list of candidates but don't seem to have been tested.
Note the absence of candidate Josh Hutcherson
