Meatheads Play With LEGOs

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller has been hired to write and direct the LEGO ® movie says Variety.

Combining live action and animation, there's no word yet on what kind of plot or story they intend to follow other than it will feature the popular toy building blocks extensively.

Whatever they have decided though it has certainly taken time as producers and Lego executives have been criss-crossing the Atlantic for over a year coming up with the concept.

Hotel Transylvania scribes Dan and Kevin Hageman had worked on the script previously.

Dan Lin Roy Lee and Doug Davison will produce the film.

Lord and Miller are still attached to direct the film adaptation of TV series 21 Jump Street early next year.
