Shock Jockey

Ridley Scott screened two of his most accomplished films, Alien and Blade Runner at this weekend's Hero Complex Film Festival--where via Collider he talked about both Untitled Alien Prequel #1 and Untitled Alien Prequel #2:

In the classic '79 pic right before Kane (John Hurt) gets attacked with a Face Hugger, he sees the skeleton of a giant being sitting in a chair. This being is referred to as “Space Jockey

Scott said he always wondered who being was and what was its story. He said that being now has a story. The script has been written and he is currently in preproduction on the pics that will begin to tell how “The Space Jockey” fits into the first film and legacy of the franchise

"If you explain who he was and where he came from, then that will deal with the savagery of this version, which will be pretty savage. Then you may want to find out where they came from, the place where his people come from."

So excited to see what develops here! Aren't you?
