Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte are in negotiations to join the forthcoming remake of Arthur says THR
Russell Brand stars as the drunken playboy who must choose between his every day dream girl (Greta Gerwig) and the upper-crusty woman (Garner) he’s supposed to fall for — or he loses his inheritance.
Nolte will play the woman’s “deeply religious” father.
Episodic director of the TV hit Modern Family Jason Winer is helming the pic from Peter Baynham's script.
Helen Mirren is Arthur's loyal servant Hobson.
The film will be produced by Chris Bender, Larry Brezner and Kevin McCormick and comes to theaters in 2011
