Amanda Seyfried has joined the cast of Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, Lord of War) latest sci-fi flick"I'm.mortal" says Variety. The story is set in a society where people are engineered to stop ageing at 25-years-old and time has become the currency. The wealthy are practically immortal while the majority of the populous struggles to bank what extra time they can.
The male lead, yet to be cast, is a ghetto rebel wrongly accused of murder who is forced to go into hiding with a beautiful and rich hostage (Seyfried). They soon begin a steamy romance.
Niccol directs from his script and hopes to begin production before the year is out.
Eric Newman and Marc Abraham will produce the pic.
